This playground project is over 10,000+ m² set into the new development on a manmade island in the Gulf of Tonkin off the coast of Hainan Island located in the People’s Republic of China. The landscape design was developed by Aspect Studios to incorporate the following age ranges and each with their own separate theme:

1. Ages  0-3, Perception (Meadow Theme)

2. Ages 3-6, Exploration (Cave Theme)

3. Ages  6-8, Learning (Wetland and Creek Theme)

4. Ages 8+, Challenging (Forest and Volcano Theme)

5. Multiage Sharing Area (Beach Shore Theme)\

My role on this project was to help the on-site construction team with the coordination of the site infrastructure as there were multiple utilities running through the site. Site visits were conducted after the rough grading had been completed and during the construction of the concrete structure that serves as the core of the three story volcano slide area.
